Frequently Asked Questions

What is FloodAI?

FloodAI is an AI-powered flood claims automation platform built specifically for NFIP workflows. It automates intake, document extraction, damage assessment support, NFIP compliance checks, and report generation—reducing cycle time and increasing consistency across adjusters and IA firms.

Does FloodAI replace adjusters?

No. FloodAI enhances adjuster performance by eliminating repetitive admin tasks, improving consistency, and reducing RAP requests. Adjusters still perform inspections, scope development, and claim decisions—FloodAI automates the “Claim Factory” around them.

How does FloodAI ensure NFIP compliance?

FloodAI uses NFIP/FEMA guidelines, historical claim patterns, and standardized methodology to validate scope, coverage, and documentation. Every claim follows the same workflow, producing a complete audit trail that reduces variance and protects against FEMA clawbacks.

What kinds of documents can FloodAI process?

FloodAI can extract and structure data from:

  • FNOL emails

  • PDF attachments

  • Xactimate summaries

  • Adjuster notes

  • Photos

  • Flood claim forms

  • Invoices

  • RAP review documents

Can FloodAI reduce RAP requests?

Yes. FloodAI detects inconsistencies between initial and final estimates, flags missing documentation, and ensures NFIP interpretation is consistent—reducing RAP frequency by up to 80% in testing.

Is FloodAI secure?

Yes. FloodAI uses industry-standard security practices including encryption, controlled access, and secure data handling. Sensitive documents used for demos or pilots are handled confidentially and can be deleted on request.

Who is FloodAI designed for?

FloodAI is built for:

  • IA firms processing NFIP claims

  • WYO carriers

  • Flood adjusters

  • Mitigation and restoration contractors requiring NFIP documentation

  • High-volume CAT operations

How does FloodAI’s intake automation work?

FloodAI monitors designated inboxes, extracts PDF and email data, classifies claim types, and routes claims to adjusters instantly. Intake that normally takes hours (or days during CAT) becomes fully automated.

Is FloodAI available now?

FloodAI is entering a controlled pilot program for Hurricane Season 2026. Early access is available to select IA firms and WYO carriers processing 500+ claims annually.
